Currency and Payments
The official currency in Portugal is the Euro (€).
Major credit and debit cards are widely accepted. ATMs (Multibanco) are available throughout the city. Banks are generally open Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 15:00.
Tipping
Tipping is not mandatory; however, rounding up the bill or leaving a small amount as a gesture of appreciation is customary.
Electricity
Electric supply is 230V, 50Hz. European two-pin plugs are used.
Smoking Policy
Smoking is not permitted in indoor public spaces in Portugal. The event is entirely smoke-free in accordance with Portuguese legislation.

Official Language
The official language of the conference is English. No simultaneous translation will be provided.
The official language of Portugal is Portuguese. However, English is widely spoken, particularly in hotels, restaurants, and tourist areas.
Entry Requirements
Passport and Visa
Portugal is a member of the Schengen Area.
- Citizens of the European Union do not require a visa.
- Participants from non-EU countries should consult the nearest Portuguese Embassy or Consulate regarding visa requirements and entry formalities.
All foreign nationals must hold a valid passport or official identification document.

Letter of Invitation
Upon request, the Conference Secretariat will issue a formal Letter of Invitation to support visa applications or institutional funding requests.

Insurance and Liability
Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel and health insurance coverage.
The Organizing Committee and the Conference Secretariat shall not be held liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to property during the event.
Climate
In September, Porto typically offers mild and pleasant weather, with average temperatures ranging between 15°C and 25°C, with cooler evenings. Light clothing is recommended, and a jacket or light coat may be useful.
